The Yasmine Hammamet Marina works every day to preserve the quality of the environment. Thanks to the measures implemented, as well as a policy encouraging boaters to respect nature, it has become the first marina in Tunisia to receive certification for environmental protection and sustainable development.
Port Yasmine Hammamet’s environmental policy is put into practice through initiatives both at sea and on land. Thanks to this particularly proactive commitment, it has been flying the famous Blue Flag since 2006, an award given to the most environmentally responsible ports.
This eco-label helps raise awareness and motivate marinas that make a special effort to manage the environment within the marina and its surrounding areas, and that provide users with information about environmental issues. To earn Blue Flag status, a marina must meet a series of requirements covering accessibility, environmental education and information, environmental management, services and safety, as well as cleanliness and water quality.
